El Mocho Orejas is a Mexican drug lord who was the leader of the Los Zetas organization. His real name is Heriberto Lazcano Lazcano. He earned his nickname "El Mocho Orejas" (which translates to "the earless one") after losing his right ear in a fight. He was born on December 25, 1974, in Apan, Hidalgo, Mexico.
Lazcano was a former soldier who deserted from the Mexican army to join the Gulf Cartel. He played a pivotal role in the formation of the Los Zetas cartel, which was originally the armed wing of the Gulf Cartel. Eventually, Los Zetas broke away from the Gulf Cartel to become an independent cartel, with Lazcano as its leader.
Under Lazcano's leadership, Los Zetas became one of the most violent drug cartels in Mexico, known for their brutality and extreme tactics. The cartel was involved in drug trafficking, human trafficking, extortion, and other criminal activities. Lazcano was also known for his military-style leadership and the discipline he imposed on his cartel members.
Lazcano was killed in a shootout with Mexican marines in October 2012. His death was seen as a major victory for the Mexican government in its fight against drug trafficking.
